Why is it important?
We get it, awnings are expensive and we have to fit within the budget! Whilst the price tag is tempting, before you consider using a touring awning on a seasonal pitch, there are a few things to consider:

Manufacturer’s warranty:
In case you happen to raise a warranty claim on your awning, we will always ask you to supply pictures of how the awning was pitched, before the damage. This information will then be raised with the manufacturer and if they deal a touring model has been used as a seasonal awning, has been pitched incorrectly, it may void your warranty.

Colour and water tightness capabilities:
Prolonged exposure to UV rays (particularly during the summer season) will cause the touring grade fabric to rapidly deteriorate and loose its water tightness or UV protective coating, reducing significantly the life of the awning. Seasonal awning are manufactured with thicker “seasonal grade” fabrics, which are designed for optimal performance in adverse conditions.

Security and Safety:
Leaving your awning unattended or unsecured at your campsite poses a serious risk of damage not only to your personal property, but that of your fellow neighbours. Some Campsites may ask you to put your awning down and and replace it if poses risk to others or is deemed unfit for the intended use.

Overall Camping Experience:
Any seasoned camper will tell you that there is nothing worse than coming to your caravan with the awning collapsed. Especially when you have personal belongings stored inside. And again, there is no need to spend 2 hours of your time to put on a full size seasonal awning if you are only staying in for a few days.
