FOR CARAVAN AWNINGS
Full Caravan awnings come in sizes depending on the length of your caravan awning rail. This is called the A-measurement .
Normally your would find this information in your caravan user manuals or instruction booklets.
Alternatively, you can measure the length of the awning rail as shown on the video link...

FOR MOTORHOME PRIVACY ROOMS
Privacy rooms have different measurements than awnings. To find out the correct size for you we need a few details...
- The make and model of the canopy fitted on your motorhome. This can be easily found on the small tag labels on the inside part of the canopy.
- The length of your canopy (A)
This should be the full canopy length. - The Height (B) on which the canopy is mounted, measured from the ground to the lowest edge of the cassette awning...
FOR CARAVAN PORCH AWNINGS
Caravan Porch 1/2 or 3/4 awnings have a connection point only on the roof of the awning.
- To ensure a stable fit, that can withstand all weather conditions it is imperative that the awning connects to the caravan on the straight part of the roof only!
- The second thing to have in mind is the position of the awning sides towards your vehicle windows. Sometimes it is a better idea to have a smaller size porch awning and the benefits of a perfect side seal, than having the next size up and the edge of the awning, sitting on top of your window...
FOR MOTORHOME AIR AWNINGS
Much like with Privacy Rooms, the 2 measurements affecting the size of the Inflatable Motorhome Awning that would fit your vehicle are length of your canopy or awning rail and the height on which the canopy sits from the ground.
There is 2 main differences here:
1. Your wind-out canopy will stay in closed position and will only be used to attach the awning to the motorhome.
2. You are only limited to the maximum length of awning you can have. E.g You can place a smaller awning on a large canopy and have it positioned in a way it would not obstruct doors or windows...
