2022 Dorema Octavia Air Size 17 – Premium Inflatable Full Caravan Awning

Spacious Caravan Living with the Convenience of an Air Frame

Enjoy the comfort of a traditional full caravan awning without the hassle of assembling a steel pole framework. The 2022 Dorema Octavia Air Size 17 Full Caravan Awning combines generous living space, premium TenCate fabrics and an inflatable frame system to make your caravan holidays even more enjoyable.

With its distinctive curved roof, contemporary charcoal and grey finish and spacious 240cm depth, the Octavia Air provides a welcoming area for dining, relaxing and spending time together.

Whether you’re planning a touring holiday around the UK or settling into your favourite seasonal pitch, this full air awning gives you the flexibility to enjoy more of your outdoor space.

Featuring Dorema’s Easy Air Frame (EAF) system, removable front and side panels, dual apex ventilation and practical fly screens, the Octavia Air is designed to bring comfort and convenience to your caravan setup.

This Size 17 model fits caravans with an A-measurement of 1050–1075cm.

Easy Air Frame System – Less Time Pitching, More Time Relaxing

One of the biggest advantages of the Dorema Octavia Air is its inflatable framework.

Instead of assembling a traditional steel or fibreglass pole frame, the Easy Air Frame (EAF) system uses interconnected inflatable tubes to create the awning’s supporting structure.

Once positioned along your caravan’s awning rail, the framework can be inflated using the supplied hand pump, helping make the pitching process more straightforward.

The EAF system incorporates isolation valves, allowing individual air sections to be managed when necessary.

Dorema recommends an operating pressure of 8–10 PSI to achieve the correct frame support.

For the larger Size 17 model, additional inflatable roof support and storm tubes are supplied as standard, providing further support across the awning structure.

Whether you’re arriving at a new campsite or setting up for an extended stay, the Octavia Air helps take some of the effort out of traditional awning pitching.

Quality TenCate All Season Fabrics

The Octavia Air is manufactured using TenCate All Season coated polyester for both the roof and side walls.

These specialist fabrics are designed for caravan awning use, offering practical weather protection and durability when correctly pitched and maintained.

The robust coated-polyester construction makes the Octavia Air suitable for the manufacturer’s recommended touring and seasonal use.

Its charcoal and grey colour scheme gives the awning a smart appearance that complements a wide variety of caravans.

Combined with the distinctive rounded roof design, the Octavia Air creates a comfortable and attractive extension to your caravan.

240cm Depth – More Space to Enjoy Your Holiday

Having extra living space can make all the difference on a caravan holiday, particularly when you’re travelling with family or friends.

With a generous 240cm depth, the Octavia Air provides room for comfortable seating, a dining table and the everyday essentials you want to keep outside your caravan.

It’s a welcoming place to enjoy breakfast, relax with a book or spend an evening together after a day exploring.

The full-awning design follows the caravan’s awning rail, creating a substantial sheltered area without taking away valuable space inside your caravan.

Whether you’re enjoying a sunny afternoon or sheltering from a passing shower, the Octavia Air gives you more freedom to make the most of your campsite.

Distinctive Curved Roof Design

The Octavia Air stands out with its modern, gently rounded roof design.

This distinctive shape gives the awning an attractive appearance while helping create a well-supported structure when the air frame is correctly inflated and tensioned.

The design also encourages rainwater to run off the roof, provided the awning is properly pitched.

It’s a practical alternative to a conventional angular awning, offering a modern look without compromising the familiar comfort of a full caravan awning.

Removable Front Panels for Flexible Living

The Octavia Air features two front panels, each incorporating a doorway.

Both panels can be rolled down or completely zipped out, allowing you to adapt the front of your awning to suit the weather and your preferred campsite arrangement.

Keep the panels closed when you want a comfortable enclosed living space, or remove them when you’d prefer a more open, airy setting.

With the front and side panels removed, the Octavia Air can also be arranged to create an open sun-canopy-style space.

This flexibility makes it easy to enjoy your awning in different ways throughout your holiday.

Removable Side Panels with Fly Screens

Both side panels feature a doorway, partial fly screen and zip-out construction.

The doorways provide convenient access, while the fly screens help encourage airflow and keep flying insects outside when the relevant sections are opened.

The removable panels also allow a compatible Dorema Octavia Air Annex to be fitted when additional enclosed space is needed.

Whether you’re organising your furniture, improving ventilation or expanding your setup, the flexible side-panel arrangement is a useful everyday feature.

Dual Apex Ventilation for Added Comfort

Good ventilation helps keep an awning comfortable, particularly during warmer weather.

The Dorema Octavia Air incorporates dual front apex ventilation and partial fly-screen sections on both side panels.

These features provide opportunities for fresh air to circulate, helping reduce the build-up of warm, humid air.

They can also assist with managing condensation when used alongside correct pitching and everyday ventilation.

Whether you’re relaxing inside on a warm afternoon or enjoying a quiet evening at the campsite, the Octavia Air provides practical ways to keep air moving through your living space.

Twin Mudwalls for Practical Campsite Living

The Octavia Air features a twin mudwall design, a useful detail for everyday caravan camping.

The double mudwall arrangement provides flexibility around the lower edge of the awning and helps achieve a practical finish at ground level when correctly positioned.

This is particularly useful on campsite pitches where maintaining a tidy, properly secured awning perimeter is important.

SafeLock Compatibility for Additional Security

The Octavia Air incorporates Dorema’s SafeLock attachment system, allowing compatible storm straps to be fitted when additional anchoring is required.

The optional Triple SafeLock System Kit provides supplementary securing points for the awning.

For correct performance, storm straps should always be installed and tensioned according to Dorema’s instructions.

Please note: SafeLock attachment fittings are part of the awning specification, but the storm strap kit is an optional accessory unless specifically included in the advertised package.

Suitable for Touring and Seasonal Caravan Holidays

The 2022 Dorema Octavia Air was designed for caravanners who enjoy both touring and longer seasonal stays.

Its TenCate All Season construction and Easy Air Frame system provide a versatile alternative to traditional poled full awnings.

For longer stays, it’s important to check the air pressure periodically, as temperature changes and normal pressure variation can mean the air tubes need topping up.

The awning should also be kept correctly tensioned, securely pegged and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidance.

With the right care, the Octavia Air provides a comfortable additional living area throughout your caravan holidays.

Size 17 – Suitable for 1050–1075cm A-Measurements

The Dorema Octavia Air Size 17 is designed for caravans with an A-measurement between 1050cm and 1075cm.

To check your caravan’s size, measure from the ground on one side, up and along the complete awning rail, and back down to the ground on the opposite side.

This measurement is different from the caravan’s overall body length.

For caravans positioned on seasonal pitches, Dorema recommends taking the measurement at the intended pitch, especially where decking or uneven ground could affect the required awning size.

If you’re unsure which awning size you need, contact StandArt Caravans with your caravan’s make, model and year for help checking compatibility.

Optional Accessories for Your Octavia Air

The Octavia Air can be enhanced with a selection of compatible accessories, allowing you to tailor your setup to your camping needs.

Available options include:

• Dorema Octavia Air Annex: Creates additional enclosed space alongside your awning.
• Compatible Inner Tent: Provides extra sleeping accommodation when fitted inside the appropriate annex.
• Triple SafeLock System Kit: Additional storm-strap anchoring.
• Rechargeable Electric Air Pump: An alternative to manual inflation.
• Dorema Octavia Sun Canopy: Adds a sheltered area in front of the awning.
