Make your caravan pitch feel more like home with the 2023 Dorema Garda 240 De Luxe Size 17 Full Caravan Awning. Offering plenty of room to relax, dine and enjoy your surroundings, this traditional full awning is a lovely choice for caravanners who appreciate comfort, quality and practical design.

Whether you’re enjoying a family holiday by the coast, exploring the British countryside or settling into your favourite seasonal pitch, the Garda De Luxe gives you a comfortable extra living area alongside your caravan.

Featuring a generous 240cm depth, premium TenCate All Season fabrics and a sturdy 25mm EasyGrip steel frame, it combines lasting quality with everyday convenience.

The De Luxe model also features external zipped privacy blinds, offering extra privacy and shade whenever you need it.

This particular Size 17 model is designed for caravans with an A-measurement of 1050–1075cm, making it an excellent option for owners looking for a spacious, well-equipped full caravan awning.

Premium TenCate All Season Fabrics

The quality of your awning’s fabric makes a real difference to comfort and everyday use.

The Dorema Garda 240 De Luxe features TenCate All Season coated polyester on both the roof and side walls.

These specialist materials are designed for outdoor caravan awnings, offering durability and practical weather protection when correctly pitched and maintained.

The fabric is suitable for touring holidays and longer seasonal stays, giving you the flexibility to enjoy different types of caravan breaks.

Finished in a smart charcoal and grey colour scheme, the Garda De Luxe complements a wide range of caravans while creating a welcoming outdoor living space.

Spacious 240cm Depth – More Room to Enjoy

One of the biggest advantages of a full caravan awning is having somewhere comfortable to spend time without being confined to the caravan itself.

With its 240cm depth, the Garda De Luxe provides generous space for comfortable seating, family dining and everyday camping essentials.

Enjoy your morning coffee while planning the day’s activities, share an evening meal with family or simply unwind after exploring the local area.

The full-awning design follows your caravan’s awning rail, helping maximise the sheltered space available alongside your caravan.

Whether you’re away for a weekend or enjoying an extended holiday, the Garda 240 De Luxe gives you valuable extra room to make caravan life more comfortable.

External Zipped Privacy Blinds – A De Luxe Feature

One of the standout features of the Garda 240 De Luxe is its external zipped privacy blinds.

Unlike the standard Garda 240, the De Luxe version includes these fitted window covers as part of its original design.

The blinds can be closed whenever you’d prefer more privacy, which is particularly useful on busy campsites or when neighbouring caravans are close together.

They also help reduce direct sunlight through the covered windows, making the awning more comfortable during bright weather.

When you want natural light and a clear view of your surroundings, simply open the blinds again.

It’s a thoughtful feature that makes the Garda De Luxe particularly appealing for longer caravan holidays.

Strong 25mm EasyGrip Steel Frame

The Garda 240 De Luxe comes with a 25mm EasyGrip steel frame, providing a sturdy structure for traditional caravan awning pitching.

Dorema’s EasyGrip locking clamps make the poles easier to adjust and secure during setup, helping you achieve the correct tension without conventional screw-type clamps.

For the larger Size 17 model, the framework also includes additional roof support poles and front legs, providing extra support across the wider awning structure.

The steel framework makes the Garda De Luxe a practical choice for touring and seasonal pitches when installed and maintained in accordance with Dorema’s instructions.

Removable Front and Side Panels

The Dorema Garda 240 De Luxe is designed to give you flexibility throughout your holiday.

Both front panels incorporate a doorway and can be rolled down or completely zipped out, allowing you to create a more open arrangement on warmer days.

The two side panels also feature convenient doorways and can be removed when required.

This adaptable design makes it easier to arrange your furniture, improve access and enjoy a comfortable setup suited to the weather.

Whether you’re creating a sheltered dining area or opening up the front of your awning to enjoy the sunshine, the Garda De Luxe gives you practical options.

Built-In Ventilation and Fly Screens

Fresh air and good ventilation help make any caravan awning more comfortable.

The Garda 240 De Luxe incorporates front apex ventilation and partial fly screens in both side panels.

These features allow fresh air to circulate when opened appropriately, helping keep the living space more pleasant during warmer weather.

The fly screens also help keep flying insects outside while allowing additional airflow.

Alongside correct pitching and maintenance, good ventilation can help manage condensation during everyday caravan use.

QuickLock Pads and SafeLock Compatibility

Dorema has included practical features to make pitching and securing the Garda De Luxe more convenient.

QuickLock pads are supplied as standard, providing convenient attachment points for the framework.

The awning also incorporates SafeLock fittings, allowing a compatible Dorema storm strap kit to be added when required.

A properly fitted SafeLock kit provides supplementary anchoring in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Please note: The separate SafeLock storm strap kit is an optional accessory unless specifically included in the product package.

Suitable for Touring and Seasonal Caravan Holidays

The Garda 240 De Luxe is designed for caravanners who enjoy both touring and longer seasonal stays.

Its TenCate All Season materials and substantial steel framework make it a versatile choice for enjoying your caravan throughout the recommended camping season.

Whether you’re exploring different UK campsites or returning to your favourite seasonal pitch, the Garda De Luxe provides a comfortable additional living area.

For longer stays, always check frame tension, pegging and weather conditions, and follow the manufacturer’s care instructions.

Size 17 – Suitable for 1050–1075cm A-Measurements

Choosing the correct awning size is essential for achieving a comfortable and secure fit.

The 2023 Dorema Garda 240 De Luxe Size 17 is designed for caravans with an A-measurement between 1050cm and 1075cm.

To check your caravan’s size, measure from the ground on one side, up and along the complete awning rail, then back down to the ground on the opposite side.

This measurement is different from the caravan’s overall body length.

For caravans on seasonal pitches, Dorema recommends measuring at the intended location, particularly where decking or uneven ground could affect the required size.
