1. Straight Awning Rail Measurement – The length of the straight part of your caravan roof. This would determine the maximum width porch awning you can fit to your leisure vehicle.
2. Where Does Your Porch Connect to your caravan – Before opting out for the biggest possible porch, it is important to consider the position of your windows, storage compartment access and fridge vents.
The Biggest size is not always the best choice when it comes to porch awnings… The last thing you want is you brand new porch awning side wall sitting across a window and letting draught in obstructing vents or blocking a storage locker with essential gear

Measure Your Awning Length
Within the front part of your motorhome awning you will find a C-channel very similar in design to the awning rail on a caravan. This measurement will give you the connection length of the awning you need.
The Distance from the bottom of your wind-out canopy to the ground (or visa versa). This would give you the awning height at the connection point. Most motorhomeawnings and drive away models have height options, designed for perfect fit.
